Sean Connery Gruen James Bond 007 vintage 510 watch 1950s for repair/restoration

With a bit of work, this 1950s James Bond 007 style Gruen 510 sub seconds watch will give you the popular collector's look at a fraction of most dealers' prices. The 17-jewel movement is complete but the balance is sticky, so it will need at least a cleaning, maybe more repair. The more rare champagne colored original dial has light marks but is definitely presentable. Very unusual dial that has a dark gold chapter ring that looks really nice in person. The dial is 29.5mm across and is marked SWISS at 6 o'clock.

Very desirable restoration vintage watch if you are interested in creating a Gruen similar to the Gruen James Bond 007 watch in the Dr. No film released in 1962. Save by finishing this one up yourself. This is a vintage Gruen 510 stamped case marked Made in Switzerland with a Base Metal yellow top and Stainless Steel back.

Also stamped on the back and in between the lugs. The pictures show this watch and its individual parts under 2.5X magnification. Comes with a winding stem installed that has not been trimmed yet. The acrylic crystal has deep scratches and will need to be replaced. Case measures 33.3mm across and 40.1mm top lug tip to bottom lug tip.
