Sean Connery liked the jacket so much he had these trousers made to match the blue pinstripe jacket worn in Diamonds Are Forever. These trousers were not worn in the James Bond movie.
The blue pinstripe suit was worn near the end of the movie on the oil rig. These trousers were made by Dimi Major in 1972. Dimi Major was the tailor for On Her Majestys Secret Service. You can see Dimi Majors label on the inside of the trousers. Sean Connery is clearly written with the date 15.5.72.
Sean Connery was known to have paid his accountant with suits and props from his films. Bond producer Cubby Broccoli allowed the star to keep all the suits he liked from the movies. In the production file letters from Cubby Broccoli there is a note saying Please let Sean Connery have all the costumes hes requested and the golf clubs we bought him.
